When the pandemic hit and we needed nurses the most, schools closed down and students couldn’t practice clinical skills. This project aimed to let them learn and evaluate 16 core procedures remotely. My role as a designer was to connected the hardware team in Texas with the software team in Washington, aligning user journeys and ensuring a smooth product experience. The result was a hands-on training tool with digital feedback, originally developed as a crisis solution. Today, it’s still used in nursing programs around the world - not just for remote learning, but as a permanent part of classroom education.
In the final week of the project, I teamed up with Natalia Ikebara to make a video explaining the product.
